Keep Your Roofing CRM. Give Every Crew Member a Camera.
AccuLynx, JobNimbus, and CompanyCam are good at what they do. The question here is narrower: under each seat model, who on a 30-person roofing company can actually shoot to the job record?
The short answer
Your CRM is not the problem. AccuLynx runs roofing production, distributor material orders, and the job pipeline. JobNimbus runs the sales pipeline storm and retail crews live in. Both are worth keeping, and both are priced per user, quote-based. CompanyCam is the mature photo product in this stack and has the deepest native ties into both CRMs. It also charges per seat, and every added user is another line on the bill. That is where coverage breaks. At 30 people, somebody in the office decides which ten get a login, and the other twenty shoot to their camera roll. LibreCam has no seat to ration. Every foreman, laborer, and 1099 install crew captures to the same job record, and the photo sets export and attach to AccuLynx or JobNimbus.
What each tool is actually good at
AccuLynx: roofing production and material orders
Estimating, the job pipeline, distributor ordering, and crew dispatch, built specifically for roofers. Nothing on this page replaces that. AccuLynx is priced per user and quote-based, which is why most shops bolt a photo app onto it instead of handing every laborer a CRM login. LibreCam photo sets export and attach to the AccuLynx job record.
JobNimbus: the pipeline storm crews live in
Visual pipeline boards, contracts, material orders, and billing for roofing, siding, and storm-restoration crews. It is the system of record for the sale and it should stay that way. Priced per user, quote-based. Photos export and attach to the matching contact, estimate, or job record.
CompanyCam: a mature photo product
Years of roofing field workflow behind it, and the deepest native integrations with the roofing CRM stack. If a specific CompanyCam automation is load-bearing in your shop, keep it. The cost is the seat model: every added user is a paid seat, and office staff who only view photos count as seats too. Read the full per-seat math before you add a crew.
LibreCam: no seat to ration
Role-based access with unlimited users, invited by phone number. Every crew member shoots, and office staff who only review photos do not take a license. Upload-only links put a 1099 install crew's photos into your job record without an account, and capture keeps working with no signal, syncing when the truck reaches coverage.

What the seat model actually costs you
It is not the invoice. It is the shot nobody took. When ten people have a login and twenty do not, the twenty are still on the roof, still looking at flashing details, deck conditions, and a sub's work an hour before it gets covered, and none of it lands on the job record. The office finds out at closeout, or at the warranty call two years later. Per-seat pricing does not just price coverage, it decides it, and the decision gets made by whoever watches the software bill rather than whoever knows which shots matter. A multi-branch roofer makes that call once per location, which is how two branches end up documenting the same job type two different ways. The fix is boring: every employee gets the camera, because there is no seat to hand out. Getting job photos off employee phones is the other half of the same problem.
The setup we would run at 30 people
Keep AccuLynx or JobNimbus. That is where the sale, the production schedule, and the material order belong. Put LibreCam on every phone on the payroll, foremen and laborers and service techs and the production manager, with checklist items that require a photo so the shot list travels with the crew instead of living in a binder in the truck. Photos and PDF reports export to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or S3, and the office attaches them to the matching CRM record. Dropping the photo line off the software bill is the smaller half of this. The bigger half is that every hand on the crew is shooting, and the office sees the job as it happens instead of a camera roll at the end of the week. On a per-seat product that line grows with every hire; the cost FAQ below has the current figures.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. LibreCam is the photo layer, not a CRM. Your pipeline, estimates, material orders, and billing stay exactly where they are.
Export and attach. LibreCam compiles the job's photos into an organized set with a browser share link, or exports to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or S3, and your office drops it onto the matching lead, estimate, or production job. There is no native API sync today.
Both are priced per user and quote-based, so there is no published figure to compare against. Ask each vendor at your real headcount, and ask specifically what the number does when you add ten field users.
CompanyCam is $119/mo for a 3-person Crew plus $29 for each additional user, which puts an 8-person roofing crew at $264/mo, or $3,168/year (companycam.com/pricing, July 2026); see the full breakdown. LibreCam is free for unlimited users, so the photo line stays at $0 whether you run 8 people or 80.
Employees can each have one, with unlimited users, invites by phone number, and roles that limit what they see. Subs and 1099 install crews do not need an account at all: an upload-only link drops their photos straight into your job record.
