Delete Your Account or Data
Permanently delete your LibreCam account, or remove specific content without closing it.
How to delete your account
Open LibreCam and go to your account
Sign in to the LibreCam app and tap the Account tab.
Tap "Delete account"
Scroll to the bottom of your account screen and tap "Delete account."
Confirm by typing your email address
Type the email address on your account to confirm. This step exists so an account can't be deleted by accident.
Deletion is permanent
There's no way to undo it, so make sure you've exported anything you want to keep first (Account → Export data).
If you no longer have the app installed
You can still request deletion without reinstalling — email librecam@relantic.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm once it's done.
What gets deleted
Your account
Your login, profile, and account settings are permanently removed.
Projects you own
Every project you solely own — its photos, videos, checklists, comments, annotations, and voice-caption recordings and transcripts — is permanently deleted, including the files in cloud storage.
Personal & solo-owned teams
Your personal workspace, and any other team you own that has no other members, is deleted along with everything in it.
What's kept
Shared team data you don't own
If you're a member (not the owner) of a team or project, that data belongs to the team and isn't deleted — you're simply removed from it.
Delete Specific Data
Remove individual photos, videos, or other content without deleting your whole account.
Delete it yourself, in the app
Photos & videos
Open any photo or video and tap Delete. It's removed immediately, including the copy in cloud storage.
Checklist items
Swipe to delete an individual checklist item from any project checklist.
For anything else
Not every kind of data has a self-serve delete button yet — for example, removing an entire project on your behalf, or content you can't otherwise reach in the app. Email librecam@relantic.com from the email address on your account, and tell us specifically what you'd like removed. We'll confirm what was deleted and what remains.
Frequently Asked Questions
Once you confirm, your account and the data described above are permanently removed.
No. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone. If you might want your data later, export it first (Account → Export data) before deleting.
You'll need to transfer ownership of that team or remove its other members first. This keeps deleting your account from silently taking away a team other people are still using.
Data in teams or projects you're a member of but don't own stays intact for the people who own it — deleting your account only removes your own membership, not their data.
Yes. Deleting a photo, video, or checklist item removes it and its file from our storage, and leaves everything else exactly as it is. Your account, login, and the rest of your projects are untouched.
We aim to complete data-deletion requests within 30 days and will confirm by email once it's done.
